Bali surf
It was a nice change this morning when I did my 7.00am surf recon of the Outer reefs to find wave height had jumped into the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But at that time of the morning the wind was blowing light on-shore coming out of the NW @ 3-7knot. The boys and I from here at Home Base waited for the wind to shift back to the East, which went down around 11.00am and then jumped in a reef taxi and headed for Kuta Reef. The waves were pretty good breaking in the 2-4ft range (chest to head high plus) but as can be expected when the swell hits there were around 35 surfers in the line-up.
But we were in the water through the hottest part of day and it wasn’t long before most of the crew and gone in for lunch and we were left with perfect waves and only a dozen or so surfers to share em with. Middle Reef was breaking in the solid double over head range but I didn’t see to many surfers out there chasing em. And as usual for this time of the year the japanese surfers owned Airport Left with a crew of around 35 out there as well. I didn’t get to see it but I’m sure Airport Right would have been producing some nice waves as well.
Tidal info; Today we started of with a 0.5mtr Low around the 6.30am mark and then filling back in with a 2.6mtr High @ 1.00pm
Weather wise, hot and sunny with a top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height at G-land was hitting a solid doule head high at Money Tree’s and no surers in the water at 7.00am
I’d also just like to mention that the Dewi Sri “live seafood” restaurant here in Tuban is once again under the control of the original owner and back to serving up the most freshest seafood in Bali.
